Navalperal de Tormes is a nice mountain village located in the province of Ávila,  at an altitude of 1303 m., in the very heart of the central massif of the Northern Sierra de Gredos. Access can be gained by the road AV-941, in its stretch between Barco de Ávila and Parador Nacional de Gredos.

The village is situated in a geographical enclave of certain privilege since it lies near some important cities like Madrid (175 km), Ávila (80 km), Salamanca (175 km), Talavera de la Reina (90 km), Béjar (60 km), and The Valley of Jerte (50 km), which makes it a perfect combination of nature and culture. Ávila, surrounded by its amazing stone walls together with its artistic and cultural heritage, is an hour by car from the village.

Navalperal de Tormes is located in the very heart of the Sierra de Gredos and leads the way to the most incredible landscapes and to two of the more important mountain routes of this sierra: The Cirque of Big Lake (Laguna Grande) and The Cirque of the Five Lakes ( Las Cinco Lagunas). Besides its overwhelming gorges, river Tormes (its source lies 10 km from the village) flows through Navalperal, and there are very nice swimming areas. It is also worth mentioning the great variety of flora and fauna of this landscape, as well as the possibility of outdoor activities like mountain routes, hill walking, and horse riding.
